Homing Pigeon

A group exhibition by Dom Viggiani, Harriet Pervan, and Florian Stanley

Homing Pigeon aims to dissect the boundaries we construct, be it physical, emotional or institutional. Through extended drawing, sculpture installation, and material experimentation, ‘Homing Pigeon’ considers the emotional thresholds embedded in our built environments and asks what happens when they begin to dissolve. The works question whether our impulse to control physical space stems from a deeper need to regulate emotional discomfort; individually and communally. Through deconstructed materials of wire, human hair, timber, and painting, ‘Homing Pidgeon’ probes at institutional norms and explores the tension between containment and release, rigidity and vulnerability.
